Miyuki Miyamoto is an 8-year-old girl who lost her mother few years ago and now lives with her father, Ryoichi. When one day a hard-working career woman, Akiko Iwamoto, appears and becomes Miyuki’s new stepmom, Miyuki resists.

A career woman marries a single father with a young daughter and suddenly finds herself in the hitherto unknown world of housework and childrearing.

Akiko has moved in with Ryoichi and his daughter Miyuki and she’s doing her best to be an ideal wife and mother.

No one shows up for Miyuki's house party. The reason is Akiko has annoyed the other PTA parents by demanding a logical explanation for everything.

Miyuki has started to wonder why her dad, Ryosuke, married her step-mom, Akiko.
5. Episode 5
Ryosuke asks Akiko to marry him because he has cancer. He wants his daughter, Miyuki, to have a mother to look after her once he is gone.
